BEFORE WASHINGTON

The First 14 Presidents
     Peyton Randolph and John Hanson are often described as the first presidents.  Who?  Did one of them cut down a cherry tree?   Were they both honest? Are they legends in our time.   

     These guys served as heads of the Continental  Congress, Randolph at the start of the Revolutionary War, and Hanson after the War was over.

        Hanson did a whole lot as president that remains part of the office to this day.
